As a retired State Police Officer, Joann witnessed firsthand the revolving door of the justice system. When she learned about EWOP’s work helping women break the cycle of incarceration, she knew she wanted to be part of the solution.

Joann serves as both a Mentor and Business Plan Advisor, but she wanted to deepen her commitment even further.

It’s always an honor to host our yearly Officer Appreciation Luncheon. This week and every week, we are so thankful for our officers and all staff. It takes a lot of teamwork and collaboration for EWOP to run smoothly on the inside and we couldn’t do it without them 🩷

One of the biggest challenges our alumni face after release is employment and learning the skills to over come that challenge like navigating resume gaps, understanding what employers are looking for today, and building confidence in interview settings.
 
Last week, we took that challenge head-on. With the help of incredible volunteers, our participants completed mock interviews, received real-time feedback, and connected with a panel focused on workforce reentry covering hiring trends, preparation strategies, and valuable resources for success!

There just is nothing like a room full of people changing their schedules for the day to pour into the women of EWOP 🩷
