Lansing Businesses Supporting Lansing!

The Lighthouse 5K is a great example of what happens when our local businesses and community come together to support our kids.

The Lansing Business Alliance is proud to see so many members of our business community stepping up to sponsor, support, and help make this event possible. Every contribution helps support the Lansing Cross Country Team while continuing to build an event that brings our community together.

Thank you to all of the local businesses, volunteers, families, runners, and organizers who continue to invest their time and resources back into Lansing.

The Town of Lansing Conservation Advisory Council and Lansing Central Trails are hosting a 2 Day BioBlitz, and we encourage everyone to attend!

This educational community event is an opportunity to explore the incredible biodiversity right here in Lansing while learning from local experts about:

Birds
Snails
Insects
Native plants
Bats and other local wildlife

The goal of the BioBlitz is to identify as many plant and animal species as possible. The information collected will help the Conservation Advisory Council develop a long term management plan for this Town property, ensuring it can be enjoyed by all who visit here.

Whether you're a family looking for a fun outdoor activity, an experienced naturalist, or simply curious about the plants and wildlife in your own backyard, this event has something for everyone.

We encourage our members, residents, and visitors to come out, meet local experts and learn something new.

Have You Heard About the Proposed Noise Ordinance?

The Town of Lansing has confirmed that it is working on a proposed noise ordinance. At this time, no draft has been released publicly, and many residents may not even be aware that one is being developed.

Whether you support the idea of a noise ordinance, oppose it, or simply want to learn more, now is the time to get involved. Community input is most valuable before decisions are made.

Tonight, the Town of Lansing is hosting its Talk with the Town open forum. This is an opportunity to speak directly with Town Supervisor Ruth Groff and Deputy Supervisor Joe Wetmore, ask questions, share your thoughts, and learn more about the proposed noise ordinance and other issues affecting our community.

The meeting begins at 6:30 PM at Lansing Town Hall.

The Lansing Business Alliance encourages everyone to attend, regardless of your position on the issue. This is not about taking sides. It is about making sure the community is informed, engaged, and part of the conversation.

We hope to see a strong turnout. Your voice matters.

Today marks Scott Russell's final day serving the Town of Lansing as Code Enforcement Officer.

On behalf of the Lansing Business Alliance, we would like to congratulate Scott on his retirement and thank him for his years of service to our community.

Code enforcement is a challenging profession that requires balancing regulations, public expectations, and the needs of residents and businesses. While opinions may differ, we recognize the dedication and commitment it takes to serve in that role.

Scott, thank you for your service to the Town of Lansing. We wish you a long, healthy, and well deserved retirement and all the best in this next chapter.

We would like to congratulate Nathaniel Rogers on his promotion to Director of Planning for the Town of Lansing.

Nathaniel has proven to be incredibly knowledgeable, approachable, and thoughtful in his work. He understands the important relationship between economic development and community character and recognizes that thriving businesses and strong communities go hand in hand. Many of our members believe this promotion is both well deserved and a reflection of the professionalism and dedication he has brought to the position.

We would also like to thank Supervisor Ruth Groff and the Town Board for listening to the business community and for their commitment to identifying and supporting qualified leadership that understands the unique balance between rural and urban development.

We look forward to continuing to work with Nathaniel and the Town of Lansing as we pursue positive, thoughtful growth that benefits residents, businesses, and the community as a whole.
