Last night we were fortunate to have hosted the Interfaith Community Dinner. Roughly 30 people attended the evening, representing a variety of backgrounds, faiths, and perspectives.

The concept was simple. Every time someone got up, they were encouraged to sit with someone different. It created an opportunity for people to meet new faces, share meaningful conversations, and build stronger community connections.

The atmosphere throughout the evening was welcoming and genuine, and the final guests stayed well after the sun had set. We would call that a tremendous success.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the evening special. Events like this are an important reminder that strong communities are built through conversation, understanding, and connection.

Thank you to all of the candidates who stepped forward to run for the Lansing Board of Education this year. Putting yourself out there to serve your community takes time, effort, courage, and a genuine commitment to the future of our schools.

Regardless of the outcome, we encourage every candidate to stay involved, stay engaged, and continue participating in our community. Lansing is stronger because of people who are willing to show up, ask questions, share ideas, and work toward a better future for our students and community.

Thanks again to everyone who participated in this year’s election process.

Thank you, Lansing! And thank you to all of the candidates. We are grateful for you.
