It is with deep regret that after 12 years in operation in Clinton County PA that the In Your Shoes program will no longer be able to provide funding for youth sports and activities. A decision was made to close IYS after exhausting all funds due to too many board vacancies, reduced fundraising activities as well as lack of participation/need following Covid-19.
Since created in April 2011, In Your Shoes was able to help over 1500 kids in Clinton County and paid out over $262,000 in participation fees not to mention the hundreds and hundreds of gently used cleats we handed out over the last 12 years! IYS could not have done this without the help of the community, the past board members and the Clinton County United Way of PA which provided us with the majority of our grant funding each year.
IYS is currently reaching out to other organizations to see who can help the youth in need of funding, but if you know of someone who may want to take over this program or start a program like this, please contact [email protected] for questions.
