Clinton County Commissioners and CMATVA Staff:

In light of the ‘Petition news’, please take heart and be encouraged by watching this video.

As your planning consultant, I am very dismayed, frustrated and depressed about losing this major design and implementation project, which we all have worked so hard to advance to this point.

As legislative Director of PAOHV, I am also very concerned and yet realized that we must take action in a diplomatic, well planned and professional approach.

As an enthusiast, I am moved to be ready to notify the industry, the riders and other invested enthusiasts for whatever opportunity to voice our perspective may be available.

We have located the DCNR recording of the Friday, August 12th unveiling of the 10 years in the making Catawissa Recreation Area, located in Schuylkill and Luzerne Counties I personally attended this event and I am now a believer with renewed faith that the current DCNR administration is absolutely endorsing and advocating for motorized recreation on State and private lands in the interest of Economic Development, fighting light, cleaning up the environment and promoting motorized Recreation has a key aspect of outdoor recreation – now Pennsylvania’s number two strongest industry within the context of this multi billion dollar national industry.

"Please take time to review the full DCNR Video and photo collage that captures the essence of DCNR’s unprecedented ‘out of the closet’ Pro Moto statements and commitment to significant investments in PA’s first new state park dedicated to motorized recreation.

Thank you for taking time to view the video and photo log at:

This action and bold statement in support of motorized recreation will certainly temper and guide and bolster a possible appeal or counter petition to restore the Renovo Connector Trail Project.

Note the interest of DEP and their understanding now that the land can be used, cleaned up and enhanced thanks to the influx of revenue from this multi-billion dollar motorized recreation industry!

DCNR announces year two of the ATV Regional Trail Connector Pilot program in the northcentral region of the state that will provide opportunities for riding enthusiasts to travel many miles of roads opened to all-terrain vehicle use and trails in Potter, Tioga, Clinton, and Lycoming counties.

The area will open for use on Friday, May 27, and will remain open until Sunday, September 25, 2022.

ATV riders will need to purchase a Regional ATV Connector Pass permit to use the designated PennDOT and state forest ATV Connector roads, the cost of which will serve to offset implementation and management of the program.
