Wayne County USU Extension "Craft and Create"

The Craft and Create group met this Wednesday. We decided to continue to hold it on Wednesdays from 10:00 until 2:00. There were several sewing, quilting, and knitting projects shown that might be of interest for Christmas presents or just for fun. We also talked about doing some sort of craft once a month. We will take turns providing lunch. The little ones had a ball playing together. Everyone is welcome to participate. Bring your own projects to work on or get a new idea. Great for Christmas gifts etc.

Hey all! Now that school is back in session we're ready to start our craft and create group again. Our first meeting will be on the 26th of September in the Loa civic center starting at 10:00. Bring your own project to work on and we will talk about how we want to run the group. Come with ideas! Little ones are welcome - j use bring toys to keep them entertained. I will furnish the lunch for this first meeting. Hope to see lots of you!

Learn how to make these cool baskets - Thursday, April 19 at the Loa Civic Center. Bring your sewing machine, scraps you want to use, denim needle (Extension will have some available) and regular sewing supplies - pins, scissors, thread etc. The cost is $5.00 which includes the cotton clothesline and lunch! Don't miss this fun class!

Thanks Annette Lamb for taking pictures to document our first SPARK SQUAD adventure!

Our first Spark Squad theme for 2018 is "Our Heritage of Games and Gaming". Our 4-H teen leaders did an amazing job leading a series of activities focusing on games played by Native Americans and Pioneers who lived in Wayne County over 100 years ago.

We will begin Craft & Create beginning on Wednesday, September 20th from 10 am to 2 pm. We will continue the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of each month for the rest of 2017. Please bring a project to work on! There are a few sewing machines available, as well as other crafting items you can utilize - a Cricut & an AccuCut- and more!

Craft & Create will not be meeting again until this fall. If you are interested in participating next year, please leave a comment here. Also, indicate which day works best for you (kids are welcome to come & we have taken turns bringing lunch in the past.) We also want project ideas as we are hoping to have a project every month. Craft and Create has moved to Thursdays! Don't forget! Craft and create group at the Loa Civic Center from 10 AM to 2:45 PM bring your unfinished project, start a new project we have machines, extra fabric or just come hang out for a bit. kids are welcome!!
