STARRY STARRY NIGHTS
Each year as fall heralds the holiday season, the City of Llano's Christmas Lighting Committee made up of dedicated volunteers much like Santa's elves plan to once again make our river sparkle! They begin pulling out and checking lights on the 100+ displays which grace the Llano River at Badu Park each November & December. It takes over a month of "free time" to prepare this
walkway for residents and visitors. It also takes their dedication from the day after Thanksgiving until New Year's Eve to maintain the walkway each night. You can also purchase hot beverages and snacks on most nights. Starry Starry Nights will extend from the Friday after Thanksgiving to December 31. Please join us in the walkway every night of the week from 6 pm to 9 pm. On Saturdays & Fridays, you will even see Santa! See you at the river! SNOW DAY
The same volunteer committee that brings us Starry Starry Nights also makes it snow in Llano each December. Yes, the kiddos are sometimes in shorts and mittens, but it is often the first fluffy Christmas that our little Llanites get to see! Each year on the second Saturday of December, from 1 pm to 9 pm, snow appears in Badu Park! This has become a sight to see for visitors all around Llano and attracts a great number of adventure-seekers. Please contact Kim Webb at the Llano Visitor Center if you have questions or would like to volunteer your time: 325-247-5354.
