600 Families Helped. One Faithful Community.

We are humbled and grateful.

Since 2012, Ashes to Glory Foundation has helped 600 families access Christ-centered, clinically excellent care for addiction and the lasting effects of trauma.

These families come from across the country and beyond. Parents, sons, daughters, spouses, and entire families who reached a moment where they needed help but could not carry the financial weight alone.

Because of your generosity, financial barriers have been removed, treatment has become possible, the hope of the Gospel has been shared, and families have been given the opportunity to begin healing.

Together, this faithful community has helped provide more than $15 million in scholarships. But behind every dollar is a family. A story. A battle. A life worth fighting for.

And because donors continue to lean in, more families are receiving the help they need.

But the need is still growing, and weโ€™re not done. Godโ€™s plan is not finished.

Some families are doing everything they can, and yet still cannot access the level of care their loved one needs.

Seeking treatment for a loved one is not a casual decision. It can mean using savings, pulling from retirement, taking out loans, selling assets, or giving everything they have to get their loved one the help they need.

High-quality care is costly because deep, specialized treatment requires trained clinicians, time, structure, safety, and support. But for families already in crisis, the financial weight can feel impossible, and often becomes the barrier standing between their loved one and lasting transformation.

That is why donor support matters. It helps carry part of the burden for families who are not looking for an easy way out. They are fighting for their loved oneโ€™s life, their familyโ€™s healing, and a future they are trying not to lose hope for.

Donors become the bridge to freedom for families, and that impact often reaches generations.

Substance use is often the visible problem, but it is rarely the whole problem.

The choices may seem unimaginable from the outside. They may be harmful, confusing, and painful for the family watching it happen. But for the person using, the substance may be doing something they feel they cannot live without.

It may be offering relief.

Relief from pain.
Relief from shame.
Relief from traumatic memories.
Relief from the story underneath the surface.

That does not make the behavior safe or right. But it does help us understand why stopping is often far more complex than people realize. For many, substance use becomes an attempt to survive pain they do not know how to face any other way.

That is why healing has to reach beneath the behavior and help a person find safety, hope, and support without needing to escape.

At Ashes to Glory, we help remove the financial barrier so individuals and families can access clinically excellent, Christ-centered care that addresses the deeper story beneath addiction and trauma.

Because real healing does not stop at behavior or simply strive for abstinence. It reaches the root.

Today, we honor and remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice reminds us of the cost of freedom and the courage it takes to serve something greater than ourselves.

From all of us at Ashes to Glory, we are truly grateful.

When one person is trapped in addiction, the whole family often lives in survival mode.

Each family member may begin adapting in ways that help the family keep functioning, but over time those roles can become coping patterns that affect how they relate, trust, communicate, and carry pain.

That is why whole-family treatment matters. Healing is not only about helping the person in treatment. It is also about helping the family heal, understand what their loved one is working through, and become a healthier support system when they return home.

Some children are adopted into loving, stable homes and still struggle in ways their families do not understand.

The anger, withdrawal, fear, control, emotional shutdown, or acting out may not make sense on the surface. But for some children, those behaviors are connected to early attachment wounds, instability, loss, or trauma that began before they had the language to explain it.

Love is deeply important, but love does not automatically erase what happened before safety arrived.

That is why healing work matters. Families need support that helps them look beneath the behavior and understand the wounds that may still be shaping trust, connection, and relationships.

When a person believes their struggle is not just something they are facing, but something that defines who they are, change can begin to feel impossible.

They may believe the addiction, anger, lying, po*******hy, withdrawal, or destructive patterns are inevitable because deep down, they already believe they are too far gone.

That belief can create a painful cycle:
They feel shame.
They hide.
They cope in destructive ways.
The behavior causes more pain.
The pain confirms what shame already told them.
Then the cycle starts again.

Many families are facing conversations around po*******hy earlier than they expected.

A 2022 Common Sense Media survey found that 73% of teens ages 13 to 17 had seen online po*******hy, and more than half first saw it by age 13. The same report found that half of the teens who had seen po*******hy reported feeling guilty or ashamed afterward.

For many people, po*******hy can become connected to secrecy, shame, confusion, isolation, and distorted views of identity, intimacy, and relationships.

This is why deeper care matters. Families are often not facing one issue. They are facing a whole system of pain that needs to be understood and addressed.
