KAWA Michigan Korean American Women's Association of Michigan We hold monthly meeting held at Korean Cultural Center or local parks that is announced in our page.

The Korean American Women's Association of Michigan is a non-profit organization serving SE Michigan area to perform Charitable functions for the community and to share our culture and love. All members are encouraged to attend, and we always look forwards to news members to join.

2026 KAWA Michigan Scholarship Application – Deadline Extended to September 10, 2026

Because the KAWA Michigan Scholarship Poster was distributed after summer vacation had already begun, applicants had a very limited amount of time to prepare their applications. Therefore, KAWA Michigan has extended the 2026 Scholarship Application deadline to September 10, 2026.

If you are still working on your application and plan to submit it by the extended deadline, please email us at [email protected] so that we are aware of your intent to apply.

Starting this year, KAWA Michigan is taking a new step in giving back to the community by launching the Holiday Wish, Adopt-a-Family Program.

In partnership with the Judson Center, KAWA Michigan will support foster families and low-income families in Michigan who are facing difficult circumstances. We hope to grow the Adopt-a-Family Program into one of KAWA’s main community service initiatives and bring hope and warmth to families in need.

Members can support this meaningful cause in many ways, including attending the KAWA Michigan Annual Fundraiser Dinner on October 3, 2026, helping spread the word about the event, or making a financial contribution.

A small act of kindness can bring comfort and hope to someone who needs it. We sincerely appreciate your support and look forward to sharing the spirit of giving with our KAWA Michigan community.

올해부터 KAWA Michigan은 새로운 나눔의 발걸음으로 Holiday Wish, Adopt-a-Family 프로그램을 시작합니다.

KAWA Michigan은 Judson Center와 협력하여 미시간 지역의 포스터 가정과 도움이 필요한 저소득 가정에 따뜻한 관심과 사랑을 전하고자 합니다. 앞으로 Adopt-a-Family 프로그램을 KAWA의 주요 사회공헌 사업으로 발전시켜 지역사회에 희망을 나누어 갈 예정입니다.

회원 여러분께서는 2026년 10월 3일 KAWA Michigan 연례 후원 만찬(Fundraiser Dinner) 참석, 행사 홍보, 금전적 후원 등 다양한 방법으로 이 뜻깊은 나눔에 함께하실 수 있습니다.

작은 관심과 정성이 누군가에게는 큰 위로와 희망이 될 수 있습니다. 새롭게 시작하는 KAWA Michigan의 나눔에 회원 여러분의 따뜻한 관심과 사랑을 부탁드립니다.

6월 12일, 올해 제2회 여성회 이사회가 열렸습니다. 많은 이사님들께서 적극적으로 참석해 주신 덕분에 화기애애한 분위기 속에서 뜻깊게 마무리할 수 있었습니다.

특히 이번 달 알라바마로 이주하시는 미미 언니를 이사회에 초대해 회장님과 임원진이 준비한 소박한 다과를 함께 나누며 송별의 시간을 가졌습니다. 함께했던 소중한 추억을 되새기며, 새로운 곳에서의 삶이 늘 건강하고 행복으로 가득하기를 진심으로 응원했습니다. 또한 앞으로도 KAWA와의 소중한 인연을 이어가며 계속 교류하기로 약속했습니다.

오늘 KAWA 우정의 날 행사에 참석해 주신 여러분들께 감사드립니다! 라인댄스도 너무 잘 따라해주셨고 개인별 카라오케 할때 같이 나와주셔서 흥겹게 춤도 추시고 서로에게 박수와 격려를 보내 주셔서 즐거웠습니다. 다시 한번 카와의 가족으로 끈끈한 정을 느낀 것 같았습니다. 행사준비 해주신 회장님과 임원여러분들께도 감사드리고 Chong 언니 손자 손녀들의 도움도 컸습니다. 덕분에 즐거운 시간 가졌습니다!
