Behind the Scenes: A Special Moment with the Tellor Family 💛

Our founder Justin had the honor of meeting the incredible Tellor family in person.

Nicole and Jason. Their energetic twins, Avery and Emery. And a story that’s close to our heart.

Emery was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome. The same condition that inspired Eli’s Lionheart Foundation.

She’s already been through two open-heart surgeries. With a third on the way.

But through it all — this family shows nothing but strength, love, and fight.

We were proud to award them a $10,000 grant to help support Emery’s care and their journey forward.

Eli’s Lionheart Foundation is proud to award a $10,000 grant to the incredible Tellor family. Nicole, Jason, and their twin daughters, Avery and Emery.

Emery was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS). This is the same condition that inspired the founding of our organization. Since birth, she’s braved two open-heart surgeries. A third is on the horizon.

Through every challenge, the Tellors have stood strong. Their story is one of love, resilience, and unshakable courage.

This grant will help support Emery’s continued care. It will also give her parents the resources they need to raise two bright, spirited girls.

We are honored to walk beside them. We stand with every family fighting CHD as we spread hope, awareness, and strength. One heart at a time. ❤️

That’s how often a child is born in the U.S. with a congenital heart defect (CHD) — the most common birth defect in the country.

❤️ 40,000 babies born each year
🩺 25% need surgery or intervention in year one
👶 2–3 million people currently live with CHDs
📉 CHD-related death rates are down 37.5% since 1999 thanks to medical progress

But there’s still so much work to do.
We raise awareness. We fight for research. We support families.
