It is with a very heavy heart that we share the passing of our longtime friend, colleague, and fellow EMS provider, Rob Sparks.

For more than 25 years, Rob dedicated himself to EMS and the communities he served, including many years with both Livonia EMS and LCEMS. His impact went far beyond the calls he answered and the countless hours he gave.

Rob was a mentor, teacher, coworker, and friend to generations of EMS providers throughout our region. He shared his knowledge, offered guidance, and was always willing to lend a hand. The lives he touched, both professionally and personally, are a lasting part of his legacy.

Rob gave more than 25 years of his life in service to others. We are incredibly grateful for every one of them.

He will be deeply missed, and he will never be forgotten. Rest easy, Rob.

🇺🇸Happy 4th of July Weekend from Livonia EMS! 🇺🇸
We hope everyone has a fun, safe, and memorable 4th of July surrounded by family and friends. As you enjoy the celebrations, please remember to stay hydrated, celebrate responsibly, be safe around fireworks, and never drink and drive.
While this weekend is filled with cookouts, parades, and fireworks, it's also a time to reflect on the meaning of Independence Day and to honor the courage and sacrifice that has shaped our nation.
From all of us at Livonia EMS, thank you for allowing us to serve this wonderful community. Have a safe and Happy 4th of July! ❤️🤍💙🚑

Remember when we were complaining about shoveling snow and scraping ice off our windshields? Yeah... we owe winter an apology… While we're all dreaming about those 20-degree days, the heat is sticking around for the rest of the week.
☀️ A few reminders to stay safe:
💧 Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated.
👕 Wear lightweight, light-colored, loose-fitting clothing.
🏡 Take breaks in the shade or air conditioning whenever possible.
⏰ Avoid strenuous activities during the hottest part of the day.
❤️ Check on family, friends, neighbors, and anyone who may be more vulnerable to the heat.

Heat exhaustion and heat stroke are serious and can become life-threatening quickly. If someone is confused, has a high body temperature, loses consciousness, or isn't responding normally, call 911 immediately.
Stay cool, stay hydrated, and maybe don't wish winter back too hard...🤷🏼‍♀️🙂
Have a great weekend Livonia!

With temperatures climbing this week, take a few extra precautions to stay safe, and don't forget about your pets!
