🚑Heat Safety Saves Lives❤️

With the hot temperatures ahead of us, we encourage everyone in our community to take precautions and stay safe in the heat. Extreme heat can quickly lead to dehydration, heat exhaustion, or even heat stroke if you aren't careful.
🌡️ Remember to:
💧 Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
🏠 Stay in air-conditioned spaces whenever possible.
🧢 Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing and protect yourself from direct sun exposure.
⏰ Limit strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Check in on elderly neighbors, family members, and anyone who may be more vulnerable to the heat.
🐾 Don't forget about your pets—make sure they have access to shade and fresh water.

Let's work together to keep our community safe during this heat wave. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and look out for one another.

Whether responding to emergencies, providing lifesaving care, educating the community, or supporting patients and families, EMS personnel work tirelessly to serve with professionalism and compassion.

Yesterday Chief Allen spent time with the 2nd and 3rd grade students sharing the importance of EMS, what first responders do each day, and how emergency services help keep the community safe.
The students were engaged, asked great questions, and enjoyed learning more about EMS and the work we do.

Please join us in congratulating Larry Ebersold on his retirement from the Livonia Ambulance Commission

Public service is often described as a marathon, not a sprint. If that is true, Larry Ebersold has completed that marathon with remarkable dedication and endurance.

Over 27 years of service, including the past three years as a Commissioner, Larry has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to this agency and the community we serve. When our organization faced the unexpected loss of a leader, he stepped forward without hesitation, tightening his boots and asking simply, “What can I do to help?” That mindset has defined his tenure.

Larry has approached every issue whether routine or complex, straightforward or controversial with steady judgment, thoughtful consideration, and practical wisdom. He has been more than a Commissioner; he has been a mentor, a trusted voice, and a strong advocate for the Town of Livonia Ambulance District and its members. His leadership has always reflected integrity, resilience, and a deep sense of responsibility to this community.

While his presence will be missed in the boardroom, his influence will remain woven into the fabric of this agency. The standards he upheld and the example he set will continue to guide us.

On behalf of the entire organization, we extend our sincere gratitude for his years of dedicated service and leadership. We wish Larry all the best in his well-earned retirement.
