Summer Camp is back in session! Thanks to our Sponsors, Tombigbee RC&D ! This year we’ve added ACAP Prep and English to our curriculum. Additionally, we will conclude our summer adventure with a field trip to Hattiesburg Zoo and Serengeti Springs at Hattiesburg Zoo .

It’s time for Santa Letters again!

Santa Letters must be in by Friday, Dec. 6. These will be run in the Christmas Special edition. Please don’t edit them! We want them just as they are. Misspellings just make them cuter and show the developmental age they are. It takes one person 48 - 60 hours to type them all, and only up to 2nd grade please. We don’t have enough room for more. Special needs kids are excluded from the 2nd grade rule, of course, and may submit one. Also, please feel free to use your own Santa letter forms if you like. We have free downloadble forms on https://www.recordjournal.net/home/christmas/We plan to put any colored/artistic ones we get on the website right before Christmas. Parents/Teachers can take a screen shot, a photo, or scan in the letter. Email is [email protected], and we’re located at 210 S. Washington St., Livingston, with our news stand out front. Feel free to drop letters off at the office, but call ahead 205-6526100. We want to be there to take your letters, and have to be in and out to cover events.

Thank YOU to all the teachers, administrators and parents/guardians who have submitted these every year. Without you, we couldn’t keep this holiday tradition going.

1st Step Math Boot Camp ended on Friday. But the relationship between this organization, the children, and their parents has just begun. The 17 children, “Our Little Sumters” that registered for our program will now be eligible for all future grant funding acquired by Service2Sumter for children. We are excited to build a village around the children of the Black belt. A major thanks to the parents who trusted us with their children.
