Second session of the summer was with Historical Preservation! π The youth kicked off the morning with getting to know their own history by filling out their family tree π«π³ Then, they learned about the history of the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe, which was presented by Delvin Johnson π¨βπ« But it does not stop there.. Harvard students from the WOLF Lab that specialize in the Alabama language taught us how to properly use the correct grammar and vocabulary to structure sentences. Apoyokpo! π ChikaanΓ΅? π€ Finally, to end the day, Shyler Thompson set up a fun activity, which consisted of them making their own mini bow and arrows πΉ Huge shoutout to the Historical Preservation Department and the students from WOLF Lab for giving us a fun, educational experience π€© (Even I learned a lot!)
