Today our Local participated in the 2026 Law Enforcement Torch Run supporting the New Jersey Special Olympics. We had a great time not only running for this amazing cause but also stopping by to visit our friends at Pillar Elementary School and raising over $3,000 for Special Needs Athletes. Thank you to our members who participated and our traffic division who provided road support to our team. Also thank you ShopRite of Livingston and Village Supermarket for donating ice and water for our runners as well as for always supporting us.

Lastly thank you to all who donated and shared our donation page. If you wish to make a donation the link is below.

After 27 years of service, PBA Local 263 member Officer Jason Zielke has retired. Officer Zielke retired as a seasoned veteran who never hesitated to back up fellow officers and was always willing to help another officer in need. Jason was surrounded by family and friends today as he walked out and answered his last radio dispatch with the Livingston Police Dept. May your next chapter be the best chapter brother, and God Speed.

On this day, we honor the memory of Lieutenant Michael J. Curley, who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving the Livingston community 61 years ago.
Lieutenant Curley’s legacy is defined by his 28 years of dedicated service to the Livingston Police Department.

On March 3, 1965, while directing traffic at the scene of a large truck fire on South Orange Avenue, he was overcome by toxic fumes. Despite immediate CPR and transport to a local hospital, he tragically passed away.

His name is permanently enshrined on the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C.
