Today, the Boys & Girls Club of Polk County proudly celebrates Juneteenth—a day that commemorates freedom, resilience, hope, and the continued pursuit of equality for all.

We encourage our members, families, and community to take time to reflect on the significance of this historic day, celebrate our rich culture and heritage, and continue learning about the importance of unity, respect, and opportunity for everyone.

As a reminder, the Polk Club is CLOSED today in observance of Juneteenth. We hope everyone has a safe, meaningful, and enjoyable holiday with family and friends.

The Boys & Girls Club of Polk County would like to extend a HUGE thank you to Livingston Chicken Express for helping us celebrate Juneteenth once again by providing lunch for our members, staff, and Corporate Board Members today! ❤️💙💛

To make the day even sweeter, everyone enjoyed delicious cupcakes from Mrs. Jeanie’s Bakery in Coldspring! 🧁 Thank you for helping make this celebration so special.

Our members also had the opportunity to learn about the significance of Juneteenth as our Director, Mr. Reece, shared the history and importance of this meaningful holiday. We are committed to helping our youth learn, grow, and appreciate the rich history that has shaped our nation.

What an AMAZING way to wrap up another fun-filled week at the Polk Club! We have even more exciting activities and surprises planned in the weeks ahead, and we can’t wait to share them with everyone!

🚨 Reminder: The Boys & Girls Club of Polk County will be CLOSED tomorrow, June 19th, in observance of Juneteenth.

💚💚 GREEN DAY AT THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF POLK COUNTY! 💚💚

Today, our members and staff proudly wore green as we continue leading up to our Juneteenth Celebration! It was a great day filled with smiles, learning, and showing our support as we recognize the importance of freedom, unity, and history.

This is just the beginning… greater things are coming tomorrow as we celebrate Juneteenth together! We can’t wait to share an exciting day of fun, fellowship, and meaningful activities with our amazing members.

🍕 A BIG THANK YOU to Texan Ems! 🚑

The Boys & Girls Club of Polk County would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Texan EMS for providing a delicious pizza luncheon for our members and staff today!

Your generosity and support mean so much to us and the youth we serve. Partnerships like yours help create special memories and remind our members that their community cares about them.

Thank you, Texan EMS, for taking the time to invest in our Club and for treating everyone to a wonderful lunch. We are grateful for your continued support of the Boys & Girls Club of Polk County!

🎉 Fun Friday at the Boys & Girls Club of Polk County! 🎉

We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to First Liberty Bank of Livingston, Texas, for taking the time to visit with our members!

Members participated in a hands-on banking experience where they received a “First Liberty Bank Dollar,” made a deposit, received a receipt, and then withdrew their funds to purchase a delicious snow cone. 🍧💵

This fun and interactive activity gave our members a great opportunity to learn about basic banking concepts in a way they could understand and enjoy. To top it all off, First Liberty Bank also hosted a piggy bank drawing for our members!

Thank you, First Liberty Bank, for investing your time in our youth and providing such a fun, educational, and memorable experience. Partnerships like yours help us create meaningful opportunities for the young people we serve.

It was definitely a FUN FRIDAY at the Polk Club! 💙🤍

👟🍦 Mismatch Shoe Day + Ice Cream Day = A GREAT day at the Boys & Girls Club of Polk County! 🍦👟

Today, our members and staff showed off their creativity by participating in Mismatch Shoe Day, and we had a blast seeing all the fun and crazy shoe combinations!

To make the day even sweeter, everyone enjoyed DELICIOUS ice cream from Lindy’s Homemade Ice Cream Cart. 🍨😋

A special THANK YOU goes out to one of our amazing parents, Marty Drake, for delivering 150 chocolate chip cookies for our members today! 🍪 Your generosity helped make an already great day even better.

It was a GREEEEAT day at the Polk Club, filled with smiles, laughter, sweet treats, and lots of fun! ❤️💙
