Light In The Darkness Ministries

Light In The Darkness Ministries LITD Ministries is a missionary ministry of the David Trawick family. Founded in 1998, we are based in Honduras on Roatán Island.

LITD Ministries' Goals are to:

preach the Full Gospel message of Jesus Christ as the only way of salvation from sin and hell anywhere that the doors open. However, we focus our efforts in Spanish areas and countries. educate and care for the children, youth, and neglected people in Spanish areas and countries. introduce young people to the world of Missions Ministry by training, mentoring, and fa

cilitation. assist Missionaries in their field of labor through Revivals, Campaigns, Open Air Meetings, Kids Crusades, Youth Camps, etc.. assist Pastors in the United States in reaching the Hispanic communities living in the United States.

Let me begin this post by saying, Thank You to everyone who has supported and has given specifically towards the building of our church, Iglesia Faro de Esperanza.
Within the last 8 months, we have made significant progress on our building. We have entirely completed the first floor and Sanctuary! We are grateful and we give God all the praise for His provision through His people.

Here’s where we are now. It is our desire to transition from plastic chairs to padded, interlocking chairs. We would love to have these permanent chairs before our church dedication in August. Each chair costs approximately $38 and we need 200. Our friends and fellow laborers in Honduras, the Brothers Sumner, contacted us when they found exactly what we need. We are working with a vendor on the mainland of Honduras to obtain a discounted price for quantity and also determine the delivery cost of sending them by cargo ship to the Island.

We are so thankful to ‘see’ the progress being made in our church! 🤭 This post shows pictures from our first service with electricity! No more patio lights strung up across the front so we could see to preach and sing! Our people no longer have to read their Bibles by the light of their phones!!! Praise the Lord for His faithfulness!

She has taken on the effort of learning Spanish at Seminario Bíblico Rio Grande.
This Seminary has a renowned Spanish language program. It is both intensive and thorough.
