🥑Guac and Gawk🥑
A few weeks ago, the FACS department hosted Guac and Gawk, an open house event to showcase the new FACS kitchen facilities. Faculty and staff from LA, Central Office staff and FACS advisory board members were invited.
We were so excited to share the new space and the future of the LA FACS department with our guests.
Chunky guacamole was prepared by Nutrition Across the Lifespan students, who prepared it to practice newly learned knife skills.
Cabinet, drawer facings, countertops and extended counter tops were designed and overhauled by FixturWorld. New double oven stoves and hoods were purchased through Puckett’s Furniture. Outlet plates were designed and created by Mr. Eddie Street, LA art teacher.
