This is a great video. To me, it is very relaxing to see as well as hear and the photography is outstanding. Most birds are identified which is a big plus for me. The author is Jackson Childs who is a former student of Jim Stevenson, Bird Guide, Photographer and Director of Galveston Ornithological Society.

Last year some of my Nugent's Cove neighbors were interested in learning about the Mid-Winter Eagle Count around Lake Livingston.

The date is set for this winter's count. The information and contact person is shown in the message below:

OK! It's that time again. USGS and the Corps of Engineers have gotten additional funding to continue the "Mid-winter Eagle Count".

The next annual Midwinter Bald Eagle Survey will be held from Wed, 4 January 2017 to Wed, 18 January 2017, with target dates of 13 and 14 January 2017.

If you are willing to help again and are able, please let me know. Reply to this e-mail, or give me a call at 409-750-5392 (Marney Mason).

Once again, we are going to count eagles hopefully on the 13th or 14th of Jan. Please join us.

The Nugents Cove Lot Owners Association will hold the next quarterly meeting December 10th starting at 10:00 AM at Blanchard Baptist Church on the corner of fm 2457 and fm 3126. We will be voting on 6 wording changes to the deed restrictions.

A correction to our last post. The heavy trash dumpster will be available November 18, 19, and 20 at 299 Davenport. This service is for Nugents Cove Lot owners only. No chemicals, paint, or tires will be accepted.

At the annual meeting of NCLOA, an increase to annual assessment fees was passed. The new annual fee per lot will be $45.00. The Board thanks the residents for their support.
The Board is now looking at the Deed Restrictions and would like lot owners to voice concerns and ideas. Please contact us or post your ideas here. Thank you.

Last week in Magnolia, Tx this little female Ruby-throat Hummingbird visited our feeder. Yes, it's beak is broken but it didn't stop her from sipping the nectar. She was very weak when we first saw her, but we immediately put out fresh nectar and soon she was dominating the feeder. A couple of days later, we had a bad rain/wind storm blow thru and we have not seen her since.
