One of our youth coalition members, Praize, created us a beautiful Prom Promise banner for students to sign during Prom night!

It Reads:

Prom Promise
Make this a night to remember, not a night to regret.

"I promise to have a safe and sober prom night"

Today is Fentanyl Awareness Day. đź’™

Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid that is often mixed into other substances without a person’s knowledge. Just a small amount can be deadly, making it one of the leading causes of overdose deaths across our communities.

This day is about awareness, prevention, and saving lives.
🔹 Talk openly with your family and friends about the risks
🔹 Never take medication that wasn’t prescribed to you
🔹 Be aware that fake pills can contain fentanyl
🔹 Carry naloxone—it can reverse an overdose and save a life

Stigma keeps people silent. Education and compassion can make a difference.

Let’s honor those we’ve lost by spreading awareness and protecting those we love. 💙

A lot of what kids are hearing about va**ng leaves out important details. What seems harmless or “just flavored” can still affect brain development, increase the risk of addiction, and impact lung and heart health.

Many products are designed to be appealing and easy to hide, which makes it even more important for parents and caregivers to stay informed. When you know what is really behind these products, you can have clearer, more confident conversations at home.
