Bike Livingston

Bike Livingston See Livingston, NJ in a new way... From a bicycle seat. Join us for our annual fun family ride event All participants must wear helmets.

Bike Livingston started as a collaboration between the West Essex YMCA and Livingston Bicentennial Committee to promote alternative methods of transportation and healthy lifestyles in Livingston. The 2013 Bike Livingston event provided a a family-oriented bike tour to celebrate Livingston's 200 years with a ride through some of our town's beautiful, bikable neighborhoods. Cyclists of all abilities

are invited to rode one of two routes: a four-mile loop to Collins and Mt. Pleasant School or a seven-mile loop that also included the area around Hillside School. Plans are underway for the 2014 ride, which will include the four mile and seven mile routes, along with a longer route for more experienced riders. Anyone younger than 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult, and teens age 14-17 must have a signed permission slip from a parent or caregiver. Pre-registration is strongly suggested. Through the sponsorship of the West Essex YMCA and the generosity of our sponsors and partners, registration is free to Livingston residents. Participants who pre-register before May 19 will receive a free commemorative t-shirt on ride day. T-shirts can also be purchased on ride day so long as supplies last.
