Improving reading and writing skills for children and adults is one of Rotary International’s major areas of focus.

Every year, as part of that mission, our Livingston Rotarians read to Overton County third graders and give each student a book about Uniting for Good and Service Above Self.

Yesterday, the Livingston Rotary recognized our February Teacher of the Year, the late Joey Williams of Livingston Middle School. LMS Principal Doug Smith and Joey's widow Melody Anderson Williams were in attendance to pay tribute to Joey and to accept his award posthumously.

Rotarians are People of Action
Thanks to a recent talk by Jared Marsh of Cedar Lake Camp & Retreat Center, Rotarians were inspired to visit the camp and create a scholarship program allowing more Overton County children to experience this hidden gem in Livingston.
