This past Sunday, we celebrated our 5th Annual Livingston Pride Picnic and, it did not disappoint !
There are moments when you look around and you just know! You know that something real is happening. Something that matters.
That was this Sunday, June 7th, 2026.
The air felt different. The energy was electric. And everywhere you looked - kids, teens, young people - just being. Laughing. Performing. Helping. Creating. Celebrating. Just pure, simple, unfiltered joy!! ๐
No politics. No hate. No noise.
Just young people showing up fully and completely as themselves and a whole community cheering them on.
That is what five years of Pride Picnic looks like. And we are so proud. ๐
We could not have done any of this without the people and organizations who believed in this mission and showed up with us - our sponsors :
GOLD Sponsors The Learning Experience, Collaborative Therapy Network
SILVER Sponsors - Gorkowitz Orthodontics | Kumon of Livingston South | Mosquito Hunters | Jewish Federation of Greater Metrowest | Rotary Club of Livingston | RWJ Barnabas Health | Sanskriti of NJ | Temple B'nai Abraham | Temple B'nai Jeshurun | Trinity Church of Livingston | AAPI New Jersey
BRONZE Sponsors Board & Brush of Livingston | Teacher Tutors | Orator Academy | Compassionate Helping Hands Home Care | Presbyterian Church of Livingston | Temple Beth Shalom
A very special thank you to the Livingston Committee for Diversity & Inclusion (LCDI) - our steadfast partner in building a more inclusive, welcoming Livingston for everyone. This work would not be possible without you. ๐
And to every volunteer, neighbor, parent, faith leader, and community member who came out, stayed, and made this day what it was - thank you. You showed our young people that their community has their back. That matters more than you know.
But the real stars of the day?
The kids. The teens. The young people.
They ran every station. They performed on that stage with everything they had. They shared their truths. They helped strangers. They danced. They laughed. They belonged and they knew it.
Watching them was watching hope in real time. ๐
This is exactly why Shiv's Third Eye exists. Not for a headline. Not for a moment. But to build - year after year - a space where every young person can walk in and exhale. Where they feel safe, seen, and celebrated exactly as they are.
Five picnics in. And we are just getting started. ๐๐
Check out the beautiful moments from the day:
From our hearts to yours - thank you, everyone!!. ๐๐
