Calling all Park County homeowners! You might be eligible for a 0% interest, fully forgivable loan to fund repairs that improve your home's health and safety, ADA accessibility, and energy efficiency.

This is a program brought to you by Park County, Montana and HRDC, with funding by the Montana Department of Commerce through the Community Development Block Grant Housing Stabilization Program.

We're accepting pre-applications now through December 14, 2025.

It's a new year, but the City of Livingston, Montana is still working hard on updating their zoning regulations (HAP tool #9) and wants you to take a new, interactive survey, available at the link shown in the image below!

This survey asks about appropriate locations for new higher-density housing and mixed residential neighborhoods, appropriate locations for mixed-use and commercial development on the north side, the appropriate maximum height of downtown buildings, and important scenic views that should be preserved.

It doesn't matter whether you took the November 2024 zoning survey. Everyone is invited to fill this one out, too!

Our ADU programming was featured on Montana Public Radio last week! Big thank you to reporter John Hooks for spotlighting the challenges older adults are facing in this housing market. ADUs are one piece of the puzzle we're assembling to make sure people at all ages and stages of life can afford to live and thrive in our community!

Montana’s expensive housing market poses particular challenges to senior citizens who live on a fixed income and need a space they can age in. Locals in Park County are hoping to build more housing options that seniors can afford.

And remember how this strategy is prioritized in the plan because it aligns with the Livingston Growth Policy and offers an opportunity to prioritize community values--such as homes that are appropriately sized, located, and priced for our community members--through the zoning code? Yeah, we thought you would. Well, now is your chance to help implement this tool by shaping updates to the City of Livingston, Montana zoning code. We hope you take the zoning code survey by November 30th and attend this Thursday's workshop!

Thanks for turning out for last Wednesday's Livingston ADU tour! We had a little more than 30 people stop by our booth at the Livingston Farmers Market to pick up materials on ADU from AARP Montana and embark upon a self-guided tour of five ADUs in our community! Coalition Program Manager Katherine Daly and Steering Committee members Jamie Isaly and Kris Smith really enjoyed meeting and talking with you all.
