Onteora Scout Reservation is hiring for Summer 2026

If you’re looking for a meaningful way to spend your summer, consider joining the team at Onteora Scout Reservation. Each year, our staff helps create a welcoming home in the Catskills where Scouts learn new skills, grow as leaders, and build memories that last a lifetime.

We’re looking for responsible, motivated people who enjoy working outdoors and supporting youth programs. Positions are available across program areas, aquatics, shooting sports, dining hall, maintenance, trading post, health services, and more.

Ready for winter camping? We’ve got two great events coming up to help Scouts and leaders build the skills and confidence they need to camp in the cold.

Cold Weather Training
Sunday, December 14, 12:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9592
This is a hands-on introduction to winter camping. We’ll look at clothing layers, gear, packing, shelters, food, and how to stay warm and safe outdoors. Great for Scouts and adults who are new to cold weather camping.

Bluenose Weekend
February 14–16, Onteora Scout Reservation
Bluenose is our annual cold-weather camping weekend at Onteora. Patrol activities, Klondike-style challenges, and a full winter camp experience.
