Please join us for a Q&A on Sunday May 7 at 7pm EST about our new retreat, Making Welcome - a ProJustice Retreat.

We are excited to offer this retreat for Shalom Community members who want to open themselves more fully to loving and being loved by focusing on inclusion and justice as it relates to Shalom Mountain and our lives in the world.

Gerald Jud talked about being a “Goggologist” and the importance of updating our goggles to keep up with change, both within ourselves and the world. Gerald understood that although change can be scary it opens up exciting possibilities for us. Making Welcome provides a new set of goggles for the Shalom Community to experience a deeper way to love and be loved. We will explore this through a combination of embodied process, creative expression, individual and group process, and educational material.

If you have curiosity about recovering lost pieces of yourself, and how this retreat might facilitate that, please join us!

At Shalom Mountain one of the basic tenets is that “All are welcome here.” This ideal has not been easy to reach and Shalom is not immune to the "isms" that exist in the world. To welcome everyone requires understanding what is not known or conscious, and how that impacts the experience of welcome. This retreat explores how racism and oppression affects us individually and as a community.
