If your kid loves the game…give them the environment to grow!

We stopped by and were blown away by the focused and intentional energy. Coaches are coaching, athletes are working, and every drill has a purpose.

It’s the kind of place that builds confidence just as much as skill…and honestly, that’s what stood out most.

Pretty cool to see something like this right here in Livermore.

Some people don’t just sell flowers. They are the flowers.

When I went to Sonoma State and lived in Cotati—fresh out of college, newly hired as a teacher, counting every dollar—I rarely had money for bouquets. But I always had time to smile, wave, and thank the man in the Stetson and Hawaiian shirt for the good vibes he handed out freely on East Cotati Avenue.

Michael Larrain ran “Flowers Not to Reason Why” for nearly 50 years. A former Hollywood actor turned writer and poet, he built something so much bigger than a roadside stand. It was art. It was ritual. It was community.

The name—borrowed from Tennyson’s The Charge of the Light Brigade—always felt fitting. “Theirs not to reason why…” Sometimes you don’t overthink it. You just show up. You create beauty. You wave at strangers. You make someone’s day better for $5 and a smile.

He did that. For decades.

As a starving college student, I didn’t always buy the flowers. But I always left with something—joy, connection, a reminder that one person can shift the entire vibe of a town simply by being unapologetically themselves. Michael passed on February 25, 2026. And Cotati feels a little quieter without him.

But here’s what I know:
The impact of one human who chooses connection over convenience… who plants beauty instead of complaints… who shows up every single day with color and character… that impact ripples.

I’m grateful I got to witness it. Grateful for him. And grateful for anyone who feels inspired to create connection where they stand.

Be the flowers. No reason why.

It’s race week for the …you can feel it!?! Our whole community is buzzing and ready to show up for our runners!

Today we stopped by FastPost Signs to pick up the mile markers and all those inspirational signs you’ll see along the course. Yes…the ones you’ll read somewhere between “I feel amazing!” and “Why did I sign up for this?”

When you pass one, we hope it gives you a little kick in your step — a reminder that this town is cheering you on every single mile.

Local businesses like and help power moments like this. That’s the magic of community. We don’t just host races…we rally around the people running them.

We love seeing our friends at .nails.spa.livermore dressed in their lucky colors to celebrate Lunar New Year.

This year is the powerful Fire Horse — a rare combination that only comes around once every 60 years. The horse symbolizes strength and freedom… and with fire added, it’s all about bold energy, passion, and momentum.

We’re so grateful these incredible women share their culture and traditions with our Livermore community. Celebrations like this remind us how lucky we are to live in such a vibrant, connected town.

Happy Anniversary !!!

8 years ago two local gals decided to launch a community group focused on creating connection and celebrating the people, places, and experiences that make us LOVE living here.

Our goal was to create a safe place where kindness comes first when it comes to how we treat each other online and off.

It has been a lot of hard work but it has also been an honor to serve you and to collaborate with so many incredible people and local businesses.

This week we volunteered to speak to the business students at . These kids are the real deal. Smart, curious, ready to build something meaningful.

We taught a lesson on Growth Marketing—the same principles we used to grow Love Livermore from a simple idea into a thriving community brand, and the same momentum that helped us launch our boutique brokerage, Vale & Vine Real Estate.

Our message was simple:
You just need a problem worth solving, a community to serve, and the courage to take the first small step.

We walked them through practical strategies they can use right now to launch an idea, test a concept, or grow a business of their own.

Huge thank you to Mrs. Hobbs for inviting us into her classroom where creativity is encouraged, entrepreneurship is celebrated, and students are learning how to become the heroes of their own stories.

We left inspired—and excited for what these future founders will build.
