The Livermore Police Officers' Association is the labor union representing Police Officers and Police Sergeants of the Livermore, CA Police Department.

The views expressed here are not the official views of the Livermore Police Department. The Livermore Police Officers' Association’s goal is to professionally represent the Police Officers that comprise the majority of the Livermore Police Department. In order to achieve this goal, the LPOA strives to promote a high level of commitment to public safety and professionalism within the ranks of the L

ivermore Police Department via an emphasis on education, legal support, community outreach and trust building. So that the citizens of Livermore may enjoy an exceptional level of law enforcement protection by attracting and retaining the best and brightest Police Officers, balanced with a focus on the responsible use of tax dollars, the LPOA strives to ensure that the wages of Police Officers are competitive to those being paid to Police Officers in similar cities facing similar crime and danger. The City of Livermore faces many challenges. With city crime and the challenges of dangerous gang activity and violence, comes the need to maintain a highly professional Police Department. The Livermore Police Officers Association is committed to partnering with our community and city leaders to make Livermore a safer place and maintain it as a great city to live, work and raise a family.

Six months into 2026, and we want to thank the community that has stood with us this year.

The work this association does is only possible because of the people who believe in it. Members. Families. Friends of the association. Every single person who supports the mission plays a part in what we are able to do, even when the work is quiet and behind the scenes.

Peace Officer Memorial Day is observed today across the country. Flags fly at half-staff, and they should.

President Kennedy signed the law establishing this observance in 1962. Since then, more than 22,000 names have been added to the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington D.C., representing every line of duty death in American history. Each name belongs to someone who left behind a family that had to keep going without them.

The risk these professionals accept is real. The support we provide their families needs to be real too.
