Today was beautiful.
Six years ago, community members came together in the face of injustice and asked what it would look like to build something lasting here in the Tri-Valley.
Today, we got to see another piece of that vision come to life.
Seeing Black families, elders, youth, artists, entrepreneurs, neighbors, and community members gather together in joy, celebration, culture, and connection reminded us why spaces like this matter.
We also want to take a moment to recognize the people who jumped into this work years ago and never left. The people who kept showing up after the headlines changed. The people who continued logging onto Zoom calls, planning events, having hard conversations, dreaming bigger, and believing this community could become more inclusive, connected, and welcoming.
Tri-Valley for Black Lives has always been rooted in community, and this celebration only happens because of people who continue to show up.
To our vendors who shared your businesses, food, art, and creativity.
To our performers who brought so much energy and talent to the stage.
To our sponsors, partners, volunteers, and community organizations who helped make this day possible.
And to every person who attended — thank you for spending part of your day with us.
We are so grateful.
