DC16’s VAC volunteers and East Bay team recently joined forces at Runestone Ranch, helping tape and finish the drywall in cabins built to support first responders. Runestone Ranch is a California nonprofit dedicated to preventing burnout through peer support, wellness retreats, prevention programs, and practical resources. We are proud to use our skills to help create a place where first responders can recharge, reconnect, and receive support when they need it most. DC16 is proud to stand with the Southern Nevada Building Trades Unions at the HYLO Park action. The City of North Las Vegas sold this valuable property to a developer for just $2,000, and the project is now using non-union general contractor Moorefield Construction. We are standing together to demand responsible development that protects local workers, supports fair wages, and upholds area labor standards across Southern Nevada! IUPAT

Congratulations to Anthony Esparza of Local Union 2001 on being selected as the 2026 A.L. “Mike” Monroe / Ralph D. Williams III Sports Scholarship recipient! Anthony was awarded a $5,000 scholarship from the IUPAT to support his educational goals. Congratulations to Hugo Gutierrez of Local 12 on winning the Regional Installer of the Year Competition in the Carpet Division in Salt Lake City!

Hugo proudly showcased the skill and craftsmanship of DC16 and has now earned his spot to compete for Installer of the Year at Surfaces in Las Vegas early next year.

DC16 Leadership and Members were proud to join IUPAT Brothers and Sisters from across the country for the first-ever Building Union Power Summit in Las Vegas. The summit brought leaders together with members who work with the tools every day to learn, share experiences, and strengthen our union from the ground up. More than 400 IUPAT members also took to the streets in solidarity with UNITE HERE Local 226 members fighting for their first contract. Building union power means educating our members, developing leaders, and standing together to strengthen the entire labor movement. Read more

A huge thank you to our dedicated volunteers who took time out of their weekend to give back to our communities! ❤️💪

Our Brothers and Sisters spent their time serving food to those in need, while another group of volunteers put their skills to work installing new carpet at Echo Church in Fremont. From lending a helping hand to using their craft to improve a community space, our members continue to show what it means to give back!

⛳️ Another great PATCH Golf Tournament in the books! This past Friday was filled with golf, fun, and coming together for a great cause. A huge thank you to all of our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and supporters who made the day possible. Together, we raised a record-breaking amount for the Painters and Allied Trades for Children’s Hope Foundation! We truly appreciate everyone who continues to support this event year after year.
