Save the date (October 19, 2024) for the Live Oak Kiwanis Pickleball tournament to be held at the First Federal Sports Complex. Women’s Doubles and Men’s Doubles with skill levels 2.5; 3.0 and 3.5+ any age combinations. Hope to see you there.

Join us for a pickleball tournament in Live Oak, FL. to benefit the Kiwanis of Live Oak and fund projects and scholarships for the youth.

YOU DON’T JUST LOSE SOMEONE ONCE
You lose them over and over,
sometimes in the same day.
When the loss, momentarily forgotten,
creeps up,
and attacks you from behind.
Fresh waves of grief as the realisation hits home,
they are gone.
Again.
You don’t just lose someone once,
you lose them every time you open your eyes to a new dawn,
and as you awaken,
so does your memory,
so does the jolting bolt of lightning that rips into your heart,
they are gone.
Again.
Losing someone is a journey,
not a one-off.
There is no end to the loss,
there is only a learned skill on how to stay afloat,
when it washes over.
Be kind to those who are sailing this stormy sea,
they have a journey ahead of them,
and a daily shock to the system each time they realise,
they are gone,
Again.
You don’t just lose someone once,
you lose them every day,
for a lifetime.

In need of the public's help! We have hit a couple of roadblocks looking for a building that meets our needs to begin servicing youth in August. We need a building within walking distance of SMS and SHS, with a large space as opposed to many small rooms. We will continue to raise funds and take donations for future expenses, but we are so anxious to get started immediately! I know there is a building out there for us to use and we NEED your help to find it!

GREAT THINGS ARE HAPPENING!

A vision that began over 8 years ago. The decision to make it happen was made a year ago. We have received our tax exempt status, have been offered two different places to start meeting until we get our own building, and our 2nd fundraiser is on the calendar! More info coming soon!
