These are some volunteers distributing boxes of food at a supplemental giveaway held last Wednesday January 27th. The boxed food giveaways are sometimes done supplemental to the regular food giveaways that are held on the second and fourth Saturdays each month. The food ministry is expecting to hold another boxed food giveaway this Wednesday February 3rd at approximately 11am.

PLEASE share this everywhere and please donate if you can. We are a food ministry in Suwannee County, Florida, that provides food to needy families in Suwannee and surrounding counties. Food is given away on the second and fourth Saturdays each month. This ministry was started over 10 years ago by Gary Watson out of the back of his pick up truck. Through hard work, sweat, tears, prayers, donations and volunteers and with the help of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church the food ministry has grown to help provide food to over 1,400 people each month and that number continues to grow. The ministry is in desperate need of financial assistance in order to purchase a building. It currently operates out of the old Falmouth Crossing store on Highway 90 West in Live Oak, but the ministry does not own the building and is on borrowed time there. The food ministry will cease to exist if we do not find a place to go and the best option is to get our own building. PLEASE donate if you can. If it was possible for everyone in Suwannee County to donate $5.00 the ministry would have the funds needed to purchase a building.
