Steady presence creates space for shared meals and shared stories.
Today, we're honoring local Kazakh culture with Beshbarmak, a Central Asian dish that brings people together. Forget forks. This dish is called 'Five Fingers' for a reason!
Beshbarmak Recipe
🥩 Meat: 3 lbs beef shank, brisket, or lamb
🍜 Dough: 2.5 cups flour, 2 eggs, 1/2 cup water, 1 tsp salt
🧅 Sauce: broth, onions, black pepper
Simmer the meat, roll and cut the dough, make the onion‑broth sauce, boil the noodles, and serve everything together on a large platter. Eat with your hands at your next gathering!
