🌟 Support Scouting for Food this Colorado Gives Day! 🌟

Scouting Colorado is once again participating in Colorado Gives Day with its annual Scouting for Food community drive — now through Dec. 9.

Local Scout Troop 742, with help from Troop 686, will be collecting non-perishable food donations to help those facing food insecurity.

Please place donations outside your home by 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8. Scouts will collect items throughout the morning in The Valley beginning at 10 a.m., and all contributions will be delivered to the Waterstone Church and Light of the World Church. After being sorted, donations will be delivered to Food Bank of the Rockies and its participating pantries.

For residents of The Plains who wish to participate, a collection box will be located at the Ranch House for drop-off donations. Donations will be picked up by 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 8.

Items most needed include canned goods, protein items such as nuts and peanut butter, powdered milk, pasta, rice, whole-grain oatmeal, juice boxes, diapers and hygiene products.
