Ever try assembling IKEA furniture blindfolded?
That’s kind of what these firefighters were up against the other day.

This training focused on operating in zero visibility. Crews were tasked with putting together SCBA components, assembling their packs and going on air all while blindfolded.

No instructions, no shortcuts… just muscle memory, repetition, and trusting their training. It might look a little funny from the outside but this is the kind of work that matters when conditions are at their worst.

Last night A shift responded to a minor motor vehicle accident on 495. Thankfully there was no injuries to any of the people or the four legged passengers. Everyone including the puppies were assessed and wagged (walked) away just fine.
Although the Firefighters wanted to take one home, the puppies were safely on their way to their forever homes.
