Chatfield Community Garden at St. Gregory's The garden now has 34 plots for rent each season. We continue to be very active in donating produce to local food banks.

Another garden work day today. We seem to always have plenty of chores around the garden.

We planted peas, lettuce and spinach in the backyard today, and admired some uncovered volunteer lettuces and the triumphant return of our asparagus plants. Brassicas and tomatillos starting up nicely indoors. How about you?

My dad and I decided to try overwintering a few crops at the community garden this year, and were pleasantly surprised by what survived! :)

We have had some absolutely gorgeous weather in the last few days, enough to really feel spring in the air! My dad and I finally got out to the community garden yesterday afternoon to check on the few plants we decided to try overwintering, and here are the (rather surprising, to me at least) result...
