🙀 Please send help - we're so low on adult cat food that poor Luna Rose is wasting away! 🙀

In all seriousness, it's , and we are reaching the bottom of our stash of Purina Cat Chow Complete, the staple food that we feed to the adult cats here at the shelter. With 60+ cats and kittens in our care, we are going through certain items very quickly! Small bags, large ones, chicken or salmon, we feed both.

🐈 You can also help by adopting or by sharing our posted adoptable kitties! Luna Rose is about six years old and was surrendered due to a relationship split. She supposedly does well with kids and other pets, but has been a little sassy here at the shelter. She enjoys being brushed and rolling around, and almost certainly would be much happier in a home versus the bustling shelter environment. She would surely be an awesome, funny companion in the right home! 🩶🤍💛

Halloween hasn't even happened yet, but we must've already had Thanksgiving on the brain this week - meet Yam, Cranberry, and Giblet! So cute you could just eat them up 🍗🍠🧈🦃

Giblet and his sisters are 12+ weeks old and were recently surrendered for rehoming with us so that we could make sure they'd be spayed/neutered and given the other care they needed before setting off on their next adventures. They are of course used to cats and could certainly get used to life with gentle kids or dogs. Not required that they are necessarily adopted together, but kittens generally do better in pairs 😉

😻 How handsome are these two?! 😻 We just had to share this purrfect pic of Wolfie (grey) and Jenson (tuxedo), two best buds that are still somehow waiting here for a home. They are around two or so years old, and love playing, lounging, watching out the window, and chasing bugs around. If you're looking for lazy ol' couch potatoes, these two aren't for you, but if you want a pair of fun, sweet cats that will keep you entertained with their antics, look no further! They get along great with kittens or docile cats, but would not be a good fit for an older cat that gets annoyed easily or for a dominant cat that gets territorial with others. They haven't lived with a dog, but other cats from the same home as them were able to adjust to life with a good-natured dog, so they may be able to as well with a proper introduction. Please share to help find Wolfie and Jenson a home! 🐾

We saw 84 cats and dogs today at our walk-in vaccine clinic! Huge thanks to all of our staff and volunteers, to those who attended or helped with sharing posts and hanging flyers, and to the folks at Woodlands Vet Clinic for making it possible to provide accessible vet services to folks in our community. Now that the busy weekend is over, we hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy the beautiful weather and foliage like Rhea! 🍁🍂

Rhea is an adult estimated to be 2-5 years of age that was rescued with many, many other cats. She does take some time to warm up to people, and while she isn't overly clingy or interested in tons of snuggling and attention, she does enjoy being petted and causes no trouble at all. She's a gentle, quiet soul that's content to just be. She loves our catio and is great with other friendly cats. While she hasn't lived with a dog, other cats that she used to live with were adopted to homes with cat-friendly dogs and did just fine, so it's possible that she could as well after a proper introduction. She would likely hide from small children or in a home with a lot of commotion. This lovely gal just needs someone as easygoing as she is! 🖤🤎🧡

Rabies and distemper available (DHLPP for dogs, FVRCP for cats) for $15 each with no exam fee. We cannot issue a three-year rabies certificate unless you present us with a prior rabies certificate, so please be sure to bring that along or we can only issue a one-year certificate. Please especially help spread the word to those struggling with high prices/exam fees or with finding a vet office that is accepting clients. We want to help keep pets in our community safe and healthy! 🐾

💉 Did you know? What we commonly refer to as the "distemper" vaccine is actually a combo vaccine that helps protect pets against multiple illnesses! If you have a cat, you may have seen the letters "FVRCP" on their paperwork, or "DHLPP" if you have a dog. The feline FVRCP vaccine helps protect kitties against the viruses rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia, which is what we often refer to as "distemper." The canine DHLPP vaccine helps protect pups against the viruses distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus 💉

Little Squash here with her paws out for our 🐾 Walk-In Pet Nail Trim Clinic 🐾 happening tomorrow! 10 AM 'til noon here at our shelter in Littleton. Cats in carriers, dogs on leashes, please. $10 cash donation per pet - proceeds benefit our rescue! Hope to see you there 🐈‍⬛

(Squash is around 10 weeks old and was rescued with her brothers from outdoors. She's still a little spicy with people but getting better each day. And who doesn't love a cat with a little purrsonality!)

💙 Beautiful Xena is around 3-years old and still looking for a home! 💙 She's been listed on Petfinder with no adoption inquiries so far.

Xena was initially adopted from us as a stray kitten by our long-time kitten fosterer, but sadly had to come back to us due to her owner's health concerns. She is a very sweet, nice girl, but like many cats, is a little shy with new people and places at first. Xena has not really been exposed to kids or dogs, but has lived with other sweet-natured cats. She lived with a single person in a quieter home, and so a similar type of home may be the best fit for Xena (as she may be frightened by youngsters or a lot of commotion - it can be hard to know). Because Xena came back to us from someone very near and dear to the shelter, we want to make sure she goes to the best home possible!

All cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, tested for FeLV/FIV, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped before adoption. Adoption application and info can be found on our website:
