🍁 Today, we celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day, honoring the vibrant cultures, rich traditions, and incredible resilience of Native communities across the country, most notably the Abenaki - who inhabited our great North Country and North East Kingdom long before any of us were alive and have descendants still living today. 🌿✨

As we reflect on the meaning of community today, we also recognize the powerful parallels shared with other resilient groups, including the adaptive community. Both communities share deeply rooted histories of self-advocacy, community care, and a profound pride in identity. Each continuously pushes society to embrace true inclusion, respect diverse ways of experiencing the world, and honor the vital wisdom born from lived experience. 🤝❤️

Today is a beautiful reminder that our collective communities are made stronger when we listen to and uplift historically marginalized voices.

Take a moment today to:
• 🎧 Listen to Indigenous and disabled creators, storytellers, and advocates.
• 📚 Learn from their unique perspectives on stewardship, accessibility, and community care.

🙏 Thank you for your hospitality and the use of your fabulous event room to host our second annual Adaptive on Tap fundraiser. Thank you to all who attended and made the afternoon enjoyable and successful!

Together we raised ~$25,000 toward our mission to empower individuals with disabilities, in the North Country of New Hampshire and Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, by building community, confidence, and skills, through sport, recreation, and adventure. 💵 Notably - funds to support the purchase of another program truck to support programming in both regions we serve. 🛻

We had a few firsthand stories from family of athletes and athletes themselves sharing the impact ASP has had on their lives. Tears were shed and smiles were had. Thank you to all who joined us and congrats to our auction winners.
