All glory to God, who did not leave us in the darkness of our sin, but sent His son, Jesus Christ, to become a human and walk among us, living the life none of us could ever live, in order to save us for an eternal life in His presence.

Hope for Hardy is still accepting luminary names in honor and in memory of loved ones. The luminaries will be placed on Monday evening at the Community Prayer Tree event, held at East 10th Street Christian Church in Roanoke Rapids at 7:00 PM.

Each luminary is $10, and all proceeds are given directly to organ transplant recipients and their families.

Hope for Hardy has made the decision to move the luminaries (a part of Christmas on the Ave) to another date due to the damp and wet conditions caused by the weather. The luminaries will now be placed at The Community Prayer Tree on December 22, 2025, located at East 10th Street Christian Church (1207 East 10th Street, Roanoke Rapids).
The Community Prayer Tree event will begin at 7:00 PM, and we will start placing the luminaries at 5:30 PM.
Thank you for understanding our decision....paper bags and dampness simply don’t tend to work well together.
