The Common Carp - An amazing species! Introduced in Colorado in the late 1800's it can survive in most types of water conditions. The Carp can see in color and can detect very slight ground vibrations to alert it to predators. Catching them on the Fly has become one of my favorite pastimes. Crawfish patterns work well as do micro leeches. On hot summer days this is the fish to chase!

CAST for Kids Event was an amazing experience. We met some awesome people and fished with some truly remarkable kids. The amount of volunteers that showed up were unbelievable. I fished with a young man “J” and his mom. “J” and I figured out a way to communicate as he does not speak and after that it was FISH ON!!!! I was humbled as this young man did not let a disability slow him down. Every donation or purchase you make at tiedforapurpose.com goes to organizations like this. This beauty saved my May. I have run out of weekends, I had to go to a trusted spot. The old honey hole if you will. I knew she was there. She had to be there. As my indicator slowly sunk I thought for sure I had a snag. Turns out I did.
