Scouts not going on the C & O Backpacking trip this weekend can help out this coming Saturday: June 13. All ages of Scouts and leaders are welcome (This is not a troop.event). See the post for details and how to sign-up.

Camp Tuckahoe needs a little help getting ready for summer camp season, and we're inviting our Scouting community to pitch in on Beaver Day, Saturday, June 13.

Whether you're handy with tools or just handy at carrying things other people with tools need, there's a project for you. We'll be setting up tents, splitting firewood, cleaning up campsites, and tackling projects across camp.

Plus, volunteers receive food, fellowship, and an exclusive Beaver Day patch to prove you survived a productive day at camp.

* Reminder * We need intrepid volunteers to join us this Saturday morning as we place American flags at every grave in the Gettysburg National Cemetery in honor of the upcoming Memorial Day holiday. Even though it looks like Mother Nature is forecast to bring us rain, this event takes place rain or shine. All volunteers who haven't already registered must sign a volunteer service agreement form the morning of the event. All children under 18 MUST have a parent's signature on their form. Forms will be available at the check-in table starting at 7:30 am at the Taneytown Road entrance of the cemetery. The event begins at 8 am. Bring your rain coat and rain boots and help us commemorate this important holiday.
