Student Spotlight: Henessyf | Arkansas Commitment Junior

Since joining Arkansas Commitment just this year, Henessyf has truly hit the ground running. She was recently selected for the LEDA Scholars program—one of only 100 students in the country chosen to spend part of their summer studying at Princeton and Yale. It’s a huge honor and a reflection of her dedication and drive!

At the same time, she’s making an impact right here in Little Rock. Henessyf is currently working with a local middle school principal to create an engineering club designed to expose students to new opportunities in STEM and engineering… and she’s already in talks to expand the program to other schools across Southwest Little Rock!

We’re incredibly proud of her initiative and can’t wait to see what she does next.

We took a group of Arkansas Commitment students to Vanderbilt over spring break, and it was powerful to watch them take it all in. For many, it was their first time seeing a school like this up close — and that kind of exposure makes a difference. We’re not just visiting campuses. We’re planting seeds, expanding horizons, and helping these young leaders picture themselves in places they may not have thought possible.
