The ABCFM Jacksonville Trap Shoot is this Friday, October 16!

We're excited to gather for a day of friendly competition, fellowship, and supporting children and families across Arkansas.

Can't make it to the event? You can still join in on the fun! Our silent auction is a great way to support the mission of Arkansas Baptist Children & Family Ministries while bidding on some great items.

It’s been a full week of connection and community in Northeast Arkansas!

This week, our Connected Families and Mission Advancement teams had the opportunity to:

• Host pastors from across NEA for a Pastor Appreciation Lunch at Connected Families NEA.

• Receive shower bags from Journey Church for children in foster care who use the shower facilities at our NEA location.

• Join Central Baptist Church for their Global Impact Conference in both Jonesboro and Paragould.

From churches serving children to pastors gathering around the table, we are grateful for a community that continues to show up for children and families.

“He simply got to be loved.”

As Benny’s adoption became official after 574 days in foster care, his story offered a beautiful reminder of the Gospel.

Galatians 4 tells us that Christ came to redeem us so that we might receive adoption into God’s family. We don’t earn our place. Jesus has already done the work, and through faith in Him, we receive the gift of becoming sons and daughters.

In the same way, little Benny didn't have to understand all the work happening around him. He simply got to receive the love of a family that chose to welcome him forever.

What a beautiful picture of adoption, belonging and the love we have received through Christ.

Thank you to First Baptist Church Fort Smith for hosting a Way of Grace Weekend!

Throughout the weekend, couples had the opportunity to step away from the busyness of life, invest in their marriages, and learn practical tools for strengthening their relationships.

Here are a few takeaways participants shared:

“Being together is worth fighting for.”

“It reaffirmed that we have two covenant relationships — one with God and one with our spouse. That isn’t to be taken lightly.”

“The 4 Ss allowed me and my wife to discuss our relationship and gave me tools to grow and support her better.”

We are grateful for churches like FBC Fort Smith that make strengthening marriages and families a priority.

Thank you to Salem Media for hosting their Pastor Appreciation Lunch at our Markham location!

Our team had the opportunity to connect with pastors and ministry leaders, share the mission of ABCFM, and introduce many to the resources available to help build, strengthen, and restore Arkansas families.

We were especially grateful to share about our Way of Grace marriage retreats, including free retreats available for pastors.

Arkansas Baptist Children’s and Family Ministries is honored to be a recipient of the HEART grant (Healthy Eating, Active Recreation, and Transformation), which is part of Governor Sanders' overall Rural Health Transformation Program.

This grant will fund ABCFM’s Arkansas Family Wellness Initiative, which ties together a strategy encompassing our Way of Grace marriage materials and events, Desired Haven advocacy, and the Arkansas Baptist Ranch. These funds will equip rural churches and communities to strengthen relationships, promote healthy living, and build resilient families.

We are honored by this opportunity and will be good stewards of these resources to continue serving individuals and families across Arkansas and to help bring hope, healing, and access to those who need it most and to bring God all the honor and glory.
