Thank you Little Rock community for donating to the Summer Cereal Drive! Because of our city’s generosity, we received 4 pallets of cereal to share with our neighbors. So many children and families will be very excited to see these on our shelves!

This summer is a great time to volunteer at The Second Place Pantry! From unloading and preparing food on Mondays and Tuesdays to serving community members on Wednesdays, there’s plenty of meaningful work to be done in Downtown Little Rock. Thank you, Law Offices of Katherine Blackmon, for selecting The Second Place Pantry as your nonprofit partner for the month of May. We are grateful for your support which helps us serve over 1,600 people who are food insecure.

Every day as our law clerk Harper walks her dog, Henry, she passes The Second Place Pantry. She sees firsthand the incredible work they do for our community - providing not just meals, but dignity through their client-choice model.

That's why Harper chose The Second Place Pantry as our firm's Nonprofit of the Month for May!

We love our downtown Little Rock community, and we believe in supporting the organizations that keep it strong. This month, The Second Place Pantry is in special need of:

We are making it easier for our neighbors to select healthy food options at The Second Place Pantry. We labeled all our food according to their nutrition facts labels so that people can select the food that works for their dietary needs. This is a part of our growing commitment to educate our community on healthy eating.

Yesterday, a client dropped off a card thanking our volunteers and interns for the work they do to support the community. While we don’t serve for the accolades, we are grateful to know our neighbors value the services we offer. We truly believe we have the best neighbors around.

TJ and KK are our amazing social work interns and have been working with The Second Place Pantry since last August! We are grateful for the gifts and skills they share with our community. Over the past year, they have conducted intake assessments, updated resource directories, developed community evaluation tools, and more. Thank you, KK and TJ for your dedicated service to our neighbors.

Thanks to the Pulaski County Hunger Reduction Initiative grant, our food pantry is able to have a consistent offering of frozen meats and fresh fruits and vegetables. We are grateful for the ability to distribute healthy food options for residents of the Downtown Little Rock community.
