Arkansas has officially proclaimed September 13–19, 2026, as ASSISTED LIVING WEEK!

ARALA is honored to celebrate this special week recognizing the thousands of seniors who call assisted living communities home—and the incredible caregivers, administrators, and service providers who support them every day!

Assisted living is about so much more than a place to live. It is about compassion. Safety. Dignity. Independence. Community.

Today, we celebrate the residents who make our communities special, the caregivers who show up every day, the administrators who lead with purpose, and all of the people who make assisted living an important part of Arkansas.

🎙️ THIS IS WORTH THE LISTEN.

Yesterday at the Arkansas State Capitol, our past ARALA Chairman, Scott Kingsborough, took the podium during our Day at the Capitol for Assisted Living Week—and he said something that I believe everyone in senior living needs to hear.

Scott spoke about why assisted living matters, the important place it holds in the continuum of care, and the difference we make every single day for the residents and families we serve.

This wasn’t just another speech.

It was a reminder of WHY we do what we do.
Why our residents matter.
Why our communities matter.
And why our voices need to be heard.
