I had the privilege of speaking today at the Russellville Lions Club alongside the Alzheimer’s Association, and what an impactful time it was!

A special thank you to David Cook with the Alzheimer’s Association for delivering such an incredible presentation on Alzheimer’s disease—sharing not only where we are today, but also the hope and direction for the future. His knowledge and passion truly made a difference for everyone in the room.

I’m so grateful for opportunities like this to connect, educate, and advocate for those we serve. Thank you to the Russellville Lions Club for having us and for supporting such an important cause!

❄️ Snow & Ice Preparedness: Best Practices for Senior Living Communities ❄️

As winter weather approaches, now is the time to review safety plans and ensure your community is prepared for snow and ice conditions.

Key reminders for administrators and staff:
✔️ Monitor weather forecasts and plan staffing accordingly
✔️ Ensure walkways, entrances, and parking areas are treated and cleared promptly
✔️ Stock ice melt, shovels, flashlights, and emergency supplies
✔️ Review generator readiness and emergency power procedures
✔️ Establish a backup plan by reaching out to local hotels in advance in case of extended power loss
✔️ Encourage residents and staff to wear non-slip footwear
✔️ Communicate clearly with families about weather-related precautions
✔️ Reinforce fall-prevention protocols and incident reporting
