REMINDER FOR ARKANSAS EDUCATORS

The contract rescission deadline was May 15. ASTA shared multiple reminders leading up to the deadline because, after May 15, districts are not required to release educators from signed contracts.

If you are considering leaving your district after the deadline:

• Submit a written request for release immediately.
• Keep all communications in writing.
• Remain professional throughout the process.
• Understand that contract abandonment may have licensure implications.
• Contact your professional association or attorney before making a final decision.

Every situation is different, but knowing your rights and options before acting is critical.

ASTA was excited to attend the APSRC Spark Symposium at the beautiful new North Little Rock Event Center today!

What a great opportunity to connect with Arkansas educators, leaders, and organizations who are passionate about innovation, collaboration, and growth in education. We enjoyed the energy, ideas, and meaningful conversations happening throughout the event.

Thank you to Arkansas Public School Resource Center for hosting such an inspiring symposium and for investing in the future of Arkansas schools and educators.

🏝️ ASTA Outwits, Outplays, and Outlasts for Teacher Appreciation Week! 🌟

Survivor was the theme for Cedarville’s Teacher Appreciation Week, and Mrs. Bradford understood the assignment dressed as Jeff Probst and ready to host! 🔥 From puzzles and idol clues to lunch and snacks provided by ASTA, the Cedarville staff was celebrated in a BIG way.

We love seeing Arkansas educators appreciated for all they do each day! ❤️
