We’re excited to share this moment with our community.

On May 3, DOC Project will be breaking ground on Springer Family Farms, our community garden and wellness center, located in the Granite Mountain neighborhood of Little Rock.

DOC Project is committed to expanding access to healthcare, wellness education, and essential resources across Central Arkansas. This work has always been about creating practical, community centered solutions that support both physical and mental wellbeing.

Springer Family Farms is the next step in that mission. This space is being created to provide fresh food access, wellness programming, and a place where people can gather, learn, and connect.

This work is inspired by the life and legacy of Dr. Worthie R. Springer Jr., whose commitment to serving this community continues to guide what we are building today. Springer Family Farms is one way we are carrying that forward by creating access, opportunity, and a space that truly serves the people of Central Arkansas.

We invite you to join us as we mark this important moment for our community.

Yesterday evening, our team and a group of amazing volunteers came together to pack food boxes for families across Little Rock and North Little Rock. Each box is a small reminder that when our community shows up for one another, we can make a big difference.

A special thank you to Horace Springer and Arkansas State Representative .springer.98 for your support with preparing the food boxes!

Not pictured: Mrs. Lillian Springer (90 years old) was in the background double checking our box prep to make sure we are organized and ready for Saturday’s pick up!

Huge thank you to everyone!!

Now more than ever, we feel it’s important to show up for our neighbors. On Saturday, November 8th, DOC Project will distribute emergency food boxes through our food program, Lillian’s Pantry, to support families across Little Rock and North Little Rock. Each box will include shelf-stable staples, providing households with nutritious essentials they can rely on during this time of uncertainty.

Arkansas is facing a growing food insecurity crisis, worsened by the ongoing government shutdown. With SNAP benefits at risk and many families already stretched thin, the need for care and community support has never been greater.

Through this effort, DOC Project is standing beside our neighbors to ensure no one is left behind. Together, we can share hope when it’s needed most.

**We would love to be able to provide for everyone because the need is great. Please understand that resources are limited. Boxes will be distributed based on order of registration and availability.**
