Wolfe Street Foundation is Arkansas' largest non-profit resource dedicated to recovery from alcoholism and addiction.

Wolfe Street Foundation: Helping people recover from substance use disorders through Recovery Meetings, Peer Support, Housing, Education, and Arkansas's first Youth Empowerment Program (YEP). Since 1982, we have provided outreach facilities for people and their families who are looking for a way out of the alcoholism and addiction cycle. We also provide community outreach programming and education to the public and our partners in the Central Arkansas area.

Our Youth Empowerment team has been BUUUUUUUSY. ☀️

Summer is in full swing — and so are our camp activations!

This week, our Youth Empowerment Program team has been programming with students at Lake Nixon and HOBY, creating space for young people to build confidence, practice goal-setting, strengthen leadership skills, and connect with others in a safe and supportive environment.

Through outdoor activities, honest conversations, and hands-on experiences, YEP helps youth discover what they are capable of — and reminds them they don’t have to figure life out alone.

We’re grateful for every opportunity to show up, pour into young people, and help build the next generation of strong, connected, empowered leaders!

Substance use disorder affects families and communities across Arkansas — and recovery is something we all have a role in understanding.

Today, we were honored to welcome First Gentleman Bryan Sanders, State Representative Tippi McCullough, State Representative David Ray, Kathy Webb, Little Rock City Director, Ward 3, Joe Profiri, Senior Advisor to the Governor, and Jamie Barker, Arkansas Board of Corrections, for a mission tour of the Wolfe Street Foundation.

Wolfe Street Foundation’s 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝟱𝗞 + 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲 is officially open for registration!

This September, we’re inviting all of Arkansas to show up, move together, and help make recovery visible. Whether you’re running, walking, cheering, volunteering, or showing up in support of someone you love — there’s a place for you.

The 5K will travel from the Capitol area down Capitol Avenue to Wolfe Street before returning, and the Recovery Mile will offer a shorter, meaningful route around the Capitol grounds.

This is more than a race. It’s a day of advocacy, connection, community, and hope.

Well… this is not exactly the fundraiser we had on our bingo card.

When two of our AC units failed, we didn’t wait.
We replaced them immediately — because 233 people walk through these doors every single day.

Because Wolfe Street is where people come during some of the hardest moments of their lives and find support, connection, a plan, and hope.

People come to Wolfe Street for a lot of different reasons.
A meeting.
A conversation.
A safe place to sit for a minute.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 — 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿!

Our annual day of advocacy is about raising awareness, reducing stigma, honoring the individuals and families impacted by substance use, and reminding our state that recovery is happening every day in communities across Arkansas.

This year, we’re expanding that advocacy through the Race for Recovery 5K + Breaking Barriers Recovery Mile, inviting 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝗸𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗮𝘀 to show up, move together, and help make recovery visible in every corner of our state!

Whether you run the 5K, walk the Recovery Mile, visit the resource fair, connect with friends, or come stand with someone you love, there is a place for you.

Break the stigma. Build community. Celebrate recovery.

Small things can make a big difference!

Thanks to a generous bike donation from Recycle Bikes for Kids, nearly twenty participants in our Recovery Residences program now have another way to get where they need to go, whether that’s work, meetings, appointments, or simply staying connected to community.

At the Wolfe Street Foundation, one of our biggest goals is helping people in recovery access the resources and support they need to keep moving forward. Sometimes, that resource looks like transportation. Sometimes, it looks like connection. Often, it’s both!

Thank you, Recycle Bikes for Kids, for helping us support our participants in such a meaningful and practical way!
