A big thank you to the Little Rock School District for hosting us yesterday for our Human Capital 102 training! Administrators gathered to explore how data can inform human capital decisions and provide a clearer picture of their district’s workforce, the effectiveness of HR processes, and future staffing needs.

The AAFC Board is proud to have brought the NAFEPA Connection Live to Hot Springs Arkansas.

Dave Deschryver and Doug Mesecar provide timely federal education information with humor, personality, and good-natured banter.

AAFC members are also members of NAFEPA and receive updates from Dave and Doug in their email monthly.

Dr. Jeremy Owoh, Superintendent of the Jacksonville North Pulaski School District, has been named the 2027 Arkansas Superintendent of the Year! Dr. Megan Duncan, Executive Director of the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators (AAEA), presented Dr. Owoh with the award at the Jacksonville North Pulaski School District on September 14.

The American Association of School Administrators (AASA) National Superintendent of the Year program pays tribute to the talent and vision of the men and women who lead the nation's public schools. Each state's association of school administrators selects a State Superintendent of the Year. These superintendents are then in the running for the National Superintendent of the Year award and will be recognized and honored at the AASA National Conference in February.

Congratulations, Dr. Owoh, on this well-deserved award!
