In honor of National Volunteer Week, we are especially grateful for the incredible community that surrounds Mamie's mission. Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do—offering their time, compassion, and care to help us serve families experiencing the loss of a child. Last year alone, 239 volunteers gave 341 hours of service—an impact valued at more than $11,000. The comfort it brings to the families we serve is immeasurable. Together, we are creating spaces of comfort and connection for families across the country, and we simply could not do it without you. THANK YOU!!!

Congrats Jake Gulick - our Mamie’s March Madness Bracket winner!! So happy to have Jake drop by the office today for a tour and to pick up his goodie bag full of Mamie’s merch! Love this story so much 💛
Because of growing awareness and more people speaking openly about stillbirth and infant loss, we’re now seeing moms request plates for babies who would have been teenagers—or even adults today.
At our last volunteer day, Jessica joined us, making the moment even more meaningful as she placed her daughter Haley’s prints on her plate. Haley has a surviving twin sister, Holly, who is now 23 years old. Thankful Jessica finally has a remembrance plate for sweet Haley!

We are excited to share a couple of important team updates as we continue to grow and serve families across the country. We are so grateful for the incredible people behind this mission and are thrilled to introduce these roles as we move forward.

Lorianne Rye – Accounting & Hospital Relations
Lorianne is stepping into a new role focused on Hospital Relations & Engagement, while continuing to support our accounting efforts. In this position, she will lead the way in building, stewarding, and growing relationships with our hospital and hospice partners. Her work will ensure Mamie’s Poppy Plates remains top of mind, well-utilized, and positioned for long-term impact. This role focuses on communication, education, reporting, and strengthening partnerships.

Sarah Baguley – Order Processing Manager
Sarah will serve as our Order Processing Manager, overseeing the full lifecycle of each keepsake plate. She ensures every plate is produced accurately, efficiently, and delivered with care. Sarah coordinates closely with our team, parents, nurses, volunteers, and shipping partners to make sure each order is handled with the attention and compassion it deserves.

We’ve had the chance to meet one of our hospital donors and a NWA Mamie’s ambassador, and it’s been so special to put names with faces.
We’re at Gusano’s in Bentonville until 2:30 PM and will be back again from 4:00–6:00 PM this evening. We would love to meet more families—come by for snacks, drinks, and time to connect with other loss parents.
