SERVICE IN ACTION 🔵⚪️

Tonight was a major success.

The Sigma Beta Club was proud to support Treatment Homes Inc.’s 35th Annual Gingerbread Extravaganza at the Arkansas State Capitol alongside the Zetas of Eta Sigma Zeta. From set-up to assembly, our young men showed up, put in the work, and represented with excellence.

✔️ Our Sigma Beta Club members for answering the call and serving with purpose

This is what community service, collaboration, and mentorship look like in real time. We’re building leaders the traditional way—through service, discipline, and consistency.

Our Sigma Beta Club members had an amazing time at this month’s meeting exploring the world of STEM — Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math!

✨ Activities included:
🔹 A STEM Word Match icebreaker to test quick thinking
🔹 The Elephant Toothpaste Experiment — a foamy explosion of chemistry fun which will be done at their home with parents.
🔹 Launch of our Sigma Beta STEM Challenge, where members will complete a new STEM project each month

Our young men learned teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership — all while having a blast!

Special thanks to our advisors, parents, and brothers of the Mu Beta Sigma Alumni Chapter for your continued support. Together, we’re preparing the next generation for Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service. 💙

To highlight the influential members of our illustrious fraternity for Black History Month, today we present Brother .joe1. Initiated at the Kappa Upsilon chapter at the University of Arkansas and now a current member of the Kappa Omega Sigma Alumni Chapter in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Brother Joe currently is a member of the NBA Oklahoma CityThunder. Today, we salute him for his contributions to Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, and the community as a whole.

Thank you Brothers, Sorors, family, and friends, for supporting the club with this amazing founders’ day program! Your continuous support and dedication to the Sigma Beta Club does not go unnoticed! Congratulations to our Advisor of The Year and or SBC Members of The Year! I pray that you and your families are blessed during this holiday season and I can’t wait to get back to the work of mentoring our young black men in 2025!

Community service is the cornerstone of the Sigma Beta Club and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated. In conjunction with our club’s national program and the National Day of Service, the Little Rock Sigma Beta Club participated in a neighborhood community cleanup event to beautify the historic Dunbar Community, an area where they meet. S/O to the advisors of our club and the members of the Mu Beta Sigma Alumni Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated for supervision and assistance.

We’re back at it once again! The first meeting of the 2024-2025 took place on September 7th. As always, we have robust meeting that details our upcoming activities for the year. We were able to provide a refresher course on Robert’s Rules of Order which is the cornerstone to our successful meetings and we were able to celebrate our newest members to the club. Can’t wait to see what the future brings to our club members.
