The Crowley's Ridge District - Merit Badge University @ ASU Newport last Saturday was a great success! Thank you to ASU Newport, Clearloop-Silicon Ranch, Bluff City Overwatch, Parkin Archeological State Park, Jordan's Kwik Shop, Krispy Kreme, Shearer's Foods, Newk's Eatery, Kroger, Harps, and Food Giant for donations of food and merit badge materials. We also want to thank all the Scouters that provided hands-on assistance during the event.

The Little Rock Scout Shop will be at the MBU at ASU Newport Campus in Newport on Saturday from 10am-2pm. This is a great opportunity for your new cub families to come get their uniforms. I can honor the 20% sale if they buy the complete bundle.
Marsha will have lots of clearance items, uniforms, books, book covers, t-shirts, hats, belts, knives, drinkware, etc. If anyone needs something specific, please have them call the Scout Shop at 501-663-7157 for things specific may need.

Scouting U Announces a New Hazardous Weather Course - Weather Smart

Weather can change in an instant. Are you prepared to make the right decision when it does? Whether it’s a campout, hike, service project, or high-adventure trek, weather is key to planning a safe Scouting activity.

This new course gives leaders practical guidance to:
• Monitor changing weather conditions
• Understand watches and warnings
• Recognize severe weather risks
• Develop emergency action plans
• Know when and how to take protective action

From thunderstorms and extreme temperatures to flooding, severe storms, and hurricanes, the course focuses on real-world situations Scouting leaders may encounter.

Take the course before your next outdoor adventure and become Weather Smart!

You will be able to access this replacement course at the BSA Learn Center, https://training.scouting.org/

Please note - If you started the course but did not complete it, you will receive this new version when you relaunch the course.

ATTN: A-State Football Game Info! "On game day, scouts should plan to meet at 5:30 PM at either the northwest or northeast corner of the stadium. We will have staff members there to es**rt the scouts down to the field, where they'll take part in the pregame festivities and watch the Red Wolves football team run onto the field before kickoff."
